Planning a celebration, dinner party, wine tasting or wedding event? We can help you with your beverage needs. As a wine shop we are permitted to sell for off-premise consumption. We are not allowed to sell wine for re-sale or sell wines away from our premises. So, where we can help you is to supply wines for your event at a great savings over normal retail pricing. Additionally we can help with selections and recommendations based on food pairing & your objectives. Wines we supply for events are purchased in advanced and we can assist with local delivery, unfortunately we are unable to accept returns for credit or rebate. Select an assortment of wine for your guests to choose from, with some thought towards your party’s theme, the season, and the type of food you plan to serve. Generally, you should select one to two kinds of white wine and one to two kinds of red wine. Depending upon the nature of the event and the season, a sparkling wine or a dry rosé might also be appropriate. If your party has a festive Latin flair to it, you might want to offer wines from South America. A Northwest-inspired gathering is the perfect opportunity to introduce your guests to wines from Washington and Oregon. A brunch or bridal shower is a great time to uncork a sparkling rosé or a light dessert wine such as a Moscato D’Asti. Let your wine selection play up the theme of your event! If your event is in the summer, consider serving wines that are light and wonderful with a slight chill. Winter wines are heavier and fuller and generally pair better with warm winter foods. Select wines that will compliment the food. For example, if you are serving Italian food, consider serving Chianti, which will pair perfectly with tomato sauce. Forego serving Cabernet Sauvignon as it will water down the tomatoes and make your food seem bland. Ask us for specific recommendations for your upcoming event! WE LOVE A GREAT PARTY! We have had the chance to work with a variety of Catering services in Grapevine & DFW and would be delighted to offer recommendations for your event. How To Order Wines! 1.  Plan to select and purchase your wine approximately 2 – 3 weeks prior to your event. 2. Come to the shop to discuss your options and to pre-order your wine. Advance payment is required for all catering orders. 3. Calculate one drink per hour per guest over the age of 21. If you are serving beer and wine, consider serving 40% beer and 60% wine, plus or minus depending upon your guest profile. For sparkling wines that will be served for toasts only, plan on one bottle per every ten guests – and don’t forget to serve it in Champagne flutes! Divide the rest of your wine roughly in half – 50/50 white and red. 4. Let us know if you would like us to sit in with you as you sample potential selections. We can arrange a time next door in Into The Glass! 5. Once your order has been placed, the wine should arrive within one week. Please plan accordingly, allowing ample time for you to pick up your wine. Wine orders cannot be expedited. 6. Once your order has arrived, we will call you.
