We had a great evening with Laurie when she came to DFW from deep in the hear of Napa and the Clark-Claudon winery. Famous for their delicious, full bodied, dark fruited Cabernet Sauvignon's we had the opportunity to taste both the 2004 & 2005 Estate wines along with a stunning Sauvignon Blanc.

Limited production from the 75 + acres of hillside vineyards on the side of the base of Howell mountain, less than 400 cases were produced. Not inexpensive, but a cabernet that is worthy of a special occasion dinner or a gift to a friend who thinks they really like Cab! Very limited availability.

Being that its the always the season for hanging out and playing games, we thought you may enjoy some house warming parties for your friends. We have Board games, Accessories & the newest hit item FUSEBOX - A blenders kit of 1/2 bottles of varietals.  Stop in the store and let me show you some ideas!

Okay, its been up for a month and our guests are having lots of fun with it! Here's the deal we saw this great promotion when we visted Robert Sinskey's tasting room in Napa. A Bin full of wines in brown bags that are sold for $20 sight unseen. An opportunity to try a wine that you may, or may not, choose but at a better price and a little excitement besides!

A couple of things we want you to remember:-

     * We want you to come back and buy again, so we are not going to take advantage of you!

     * No Wine in the bag was offered for less than $20 before being added to the bag bin

     * We taste EVERY wine that we bring into the store, and of the 50-90 wines per week we selected ess than 10 to add to our shelves. We do not stock anything that we are not excited about!

Finally, if you want to know examples of wines that guests have found so far, check with Cilla or Holly, of course, past results are not indicative of current or future selections or the bag you select!

Check out our list of highly rated, small supply wines that we keep in the cellar just inside the doors at Off The Vine! Not every wine is sent for ratings from Wine Spectator or Robert Parker, but they have all been critically acclaimed and would be an asset in any wine lover's cellar.

The 2005 Winter Cabernet Sauvignon is a great example of a cellar selection wine, less than 500 cases were produced in this their second vintage. Both the 2004 and 2005 vintages received 95+ ratings from Robert Parker. Many of the online sources are sold out and the only availability left is in auctions or private sales.
